Why this Proclamation is important

Hispanic Women’s Day is an annual celebration dedicated to honoring the cultural, social, economic, and community contributions of Hispanic women in the United States. It is a space where entrepreneurs, leaders, professionals, executives, and founders come together to celebrate their impact and strengthen their presence across all sectors. This date represents more than a commemoration—it is the result of a legacy built through vision, strategic leadership, and institutional commitment. Our Chamber has successfully advanced and consolidated this historic recognition for the Hispanic women’s community in the United States, establishing a milestone that transcends generations. The day was officially proclaimed on October 2, 2025, during a historic ceremony held at Miami Dade College – Wolfson Campus, thanks to the collaboration and support of various government entities. From that moment on, Hispanic Women’s Day was officially proclaimed and recognized by:

This institutional recognition marked a before and after, establishing this date as an annual milestone honoring the strength, diversity, resilience, and leadership of Hispanic women in the United States.

In 2025, the tribute reached a historic milestone with an unprecedented gesture: The United States flag was flown at the U.S. Capitol in honor of Hispanic women, a recognition facilitated through Senator Rick Scott. This symbolic moment elevated the celebration to a national stage, highlighting the importance and impact of Hispanic women in the development of the country.

The purpose of this day is clear: to give visibility to our stories, amplify our voices, and create new opportunities for professional, economic, and community growth for Hispanic women.

Hispanic Women’s Day 2025 marked a turning point in our community. More than 500 people gathered to celebrate the leadership, culture, and economic impact of Hispanic women. The event brought together an unprecedented representation of international consulates, academic institutions, government entities, chambers of commerce, business leaders, and professionals from diverse industries, strengthening an ecosystem of collaboration, opportunities, and visibility.

The celebration went beyond the physical space, generating media amplification that reached more than one million people through coverage by recognized outlets such as El Nuevo Herald, Yahoo Finance, Univision, and multiple digital platforms. This visibility established Hispanic Women’s Day as a national benchmark event, highlighting the invaluable contribution of Hispanic women to the social and economic development of the United States.
