As part of Small Business Month, the U.S. Hispanic Women’s Chamber of Commerce hosted a morning of inspiration, leadership, and business growth alongside Commissioner Vicki L. López, representative of Miami-Dade’s District 5. The gathering was designed to propel the talent, vision, and development of female entrepreneurs.
During the event, five Chamber members participated in a Pitch Showcase, where they had the opportunity to present their business models, share their challenges, outline their growth opportunities, and receive strategic feedback aimed at strengthening their projects.
More than just a business presentation, the meeting became a space for human and professional connection. Each pitch reflected the effort, courage, and determination of women who are building their paths in the United States, contributing to local economic development and demonstrating the transformative power of female entrepreneurship.
One of the most significant moments of the morning was the message from Commissioner Vicki L. López, who highlighted the importance of persevering, believing in one’s vision, and continuing to work with discipline toward what one wishes to build. Her words reminded participants that every effort has its reward and that leadership is strengthened through spaces of support, guidance, and community.
The event also featured the distinguished presence of the Director of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office, Jia-Xiang You, and Pamela Fuertes, Dean at Miami Dade College, who supported this initiative and reaffirmed the importance of building bridges between institutions, the community, and entrepreneurship.
From the Chamber, we extend a special thanks to our President and Founder, Yamilet Rivas, for continuing to lead initiatives that open doors, generate opportunities, and strengthen the ecosystem for female entrepreneurs, professionals, and leaders in South Florida.
Additionally, we deeply thank Commissioner Vicki L. López for her accessibility, her motivational words, and her commitment to the growth of entrepreneurs, women, and communities who work every day to make their dreams a reality.
This gathering reaffirms the mission of the U.S. Hispanic Women’s Chamber of Commerce: to connect, provide visibility, and support the growth of its members, creating spaces where female leadership is not only recognized but also driven by real tools, allies, and opportunities.
If you are not yet a member of our Chamber, now is the time to join a community that believes in your vision, supports your growth, and opens doors for you to keep moving forward. https://buy.stripe.com/14AdRaaYz5SI0qb4Gg33W0e
