The U.S. Hispanic Women’s Chamber of Commerce Joins Food Distribution Community Event in Miami-Dade

In a display of commitment to service, solidarity, and community well-being, the U.S. Hispanic Women’s Chamber of Commerce participated in the Drive-Thru Food Distribution event led by Miami-Dade County Commissioner Vicki L. López.

The initiative brought together volunteers and community leaders with the purpose of providing direct support to families in Miami-Dade, reaffirming the importance of collaboration between institutions, the public sector, and organizations committed to social impact.

Representing the Chamber were Sandra Valencia, Director of the Technology Committee, and Carolina Melo, Associate Director of the Perspectivas Hispanas podcast, both of whom joined as volunteers for this community service day.

For the Chamber, participating in such initiatives reflects one of its fundamental pillars: leading with purpose, accessibility, and action. Because when women lead through service, the impact multiplies and becomes hope for those who need it most.

The U.S. Hispanic Women’s Chamber of Commerce thanks Commissioner Vicki L. López for creating opportunities for community action that allow us to build a more supportive, connected city that is committed to its families.

More than just a food distribution event, this gathering served as a reminder that every helping hand can make a real difference.
