A Conversation on Leadership, Vision, and the Future for International Women’s Month

As part of International Women’s Month, a special edition of Strive 305 Español brought together three high-impact female voices in a conversation that reflects the current state of women’s leadership in South Miami. Daniella Levine Cava, Mayor of Miami-Dade County and the first woman to hold this position, took on the exceptional role of host to interview Yamilet Rivas, President of the Women’s Chamber of Commerce of the United States of America, and Arantxa Jordan, Managing Partner of Yellowstone Consulting Group.

The conversation unfolded as a space for strategic reflection on women’s leadership, the development of strong professional paths, and the role women play today in transforming the region’s business ecosystem. Beyond sharing personal experiences, the episode highlighted how women’s leadership is increasingly occupying decision-making spaces with a perspective centered on collaboration, sustainability, and the creation of economic opportunities.

During the discussion, each participant addressed the key moments that shaped their professional journeys, as well as the challenges they faced while navigating highly competitive environments. The conversation also underscored how today’s women’s leadership is not only defined by individual achievements, but by a broader vision focused on community building, mentorship, and creating new opportunities for other women entrepreneurs and professionals.

One of the most relevant themes of the episode was the importance of creating platforms that connect talent, experience, and real access to opportunities. In this context, initiatives such as Strive 305 Español were presented as spaces where public dialogue, institutional visibility, and the promotion of entrepreneurship converge—strengthening the local economic fabric and expanding the reach of women within the Hispanic business ecosystem in South Florida.

Mayor Daniella Levine Cava’s participation also brought a significant institutional dimension to the episode, highlighting how local government recognizes the strategic value of fostering diverse leadership, strengthening entrepreneurship, and supporting initiatives that drive economic development with community impact.

For her part, Yamilet Rivas reaffirmed the importance of continuing to build bridges between sectors, institutions, and women entrepreneurs, consolidating a growth agenda where the Chamber serves as a platform for connection, representation, and expansion for women leaders and growing businesses.

The conversation concluded with a shared vision: the region’s economic future requires more mentorship spaces, stronger collaboration networks, and an increasingly active participation of women in decision-making arenas that shape the community’s strategic direction.

This special edition, beyond its podcast format, delivers a clear message: women’s leadership in South Florida is not only advancing, but also actively reshaping the present and future of our community’s economic landscape.
